100km Staged [3 days] Mandatory Gear List

                                                  

Mandatory Gear that must be carried on course: 

 MANDATORY GEAR

[you must carry at all times]

  • Mobile Phone (for photos and to call us if you need us)

  • Whistle

  • Water Bottles or Bladders (capacity to carry 2 Litres of water)

  • SNAKE Compression Bandage (Minimum Dimensions 7.5cm Wide x 2.3m Long Unstretched).

NOTE:2025 We are changing over to SNAKE BANDAGE ONLY

  • Small Backup Light

  • Emergency Space Blanket

  • Collapsible Cup or extra Soft Flask (no cups on course)

Time Dependent Mandatory Gear: The race director will tell you when you must take it on course.

TIME DEPENDENT MANDATORY GEAR 

[available to pick up from the race hub]

  • Main Headlamp + Spare Batteries (required to collect after 1pm Saturday)

  • Long Sleeve Synthetic Fleece Top (100 weight)

  • Long Sleeve Thermal Top (polypropylene, wool).

  • Long Leg Thermal Pants (polypropylene, wool).

  • Waterproof and Breathable Jacket with Fully Taped.

  • Beanie or Buff.

  • Full-Fingered Lightweight Thermal Gloves (Polypropylene, Wool)

Drop bags are to be left at the race hub tent. The race director will tell you when to pick up time dependent mandatory gear, due to time of day or the whether conditions  are changing. This decision can be made at any time.

PINK ARM BAND INFORMATION

[Very Important to understand]

Pink tape = Pink wrist bands [the direction you are following tape]

100km Staged [4 laps] 3 Days  

                         

FRIDAY      [DAY 1] Lap 1     - Right [25km]

SATURDAY [DAY 2] Lap 2,3  - Left [50km]

SUNDAY     [DAY 3] Lap 4    - Left [25km]

- NO Death Valley section in course.

- NO PACERS ALLOWED

EACH LAP INFORMATION

When you come into the race start/finish hub each lap:

1st - RING THE BELL 

- Each lap you come in to let everyone your here, ring the bell.

- This tells you brain you have finished a lap

2nd - HOLE PUNCH YOUR BIB 

- You must get your bib hole punched each lap when you come in. DO NOT LEAVE the elephant without a hole punch in your bib.

3rd - PINK ARM BAND 

-The marshal will tell you when to change your pink arm band over. Very Important you leave with one. It tells you which side you are following pink course tape. Very important when you are fatigued.

- They glow in the dark.

ETR 100km STAGE RACE   
RULES

  • Must be on the start line for the next race

  • All runners must complete each day within the time to be able to move onto the next day

  • You must stopped for the hours before next race starts [minimum 1 hour]

  • You must be finished Day 3 at 2.00pm Sunday to complete the full 100km Staged race course

  • NO PACERS ALLOWED

  • Course is closed to all runners at 2pm Sunday

  • NO UTMB points.
